Simplify CE Scholarship Application

Overview

The Simplify CE Scholarship Program is dedicated to providing financial assistance to real estate professionals in need, helping them maintain their professional licenses, even through unforeseen financial hardships. This scholarship aims to make continuing education affordable for those facing financial difficulties, with funds strictly allocated for educational purposes and not applicable to other state fees.


Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Simplify CE Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Professional Status: Must be a licensed real estate professional.
  2. Financial Need: Stated financial need.
  3. Continuing Education Requirement: Must require continuing education credits to keep their professional license in good standing within the next 12 months.
  4. Community Engagement: Commitment to giving back to their community through charitable contributions or volunteer work.
  5. Purpose Limitation: Scholarships are strictly for continuing education and cannot be used for state fees or other expenses.

Number of Scholarships

While we hope to fulfill ten (10) scholarships monthly, the number and amounts will be solely based on the current scholarship fund. In the event the fund fluctuates, the number and amount of scholarships awarded will vary. 

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  1. Completed Application Form. Find the simple form here. 
  2. Proof of Professional Status: Current state of licensure and number.
  3. Declaration of Financial Need: Declaration of financial need. No documents are necessary.
  4. Continuing Education Requirement: Evidence of required continuing education credits.
  5. Short Essay: A 500-word essay describing how real estate plays a significant role in their life and their plans to give back to their community through charitable contributions.
  6. Need Requested: A statement of the percentage of the fee requested to be covered by the scholarship. The professional may request up to 100% of the fee to be covered. 
  7. Ethical Acceptance Agreement: The licensee must agree that their request for the scholarship is necessary and they understand that by accepting a scholarship, they are potentially denying another professional in need the opportunity to receive a scholarship. If financial support is not actually needed, the licensee shall not apply for one of the limited scholarships. 

Application Process

  1. Application Form: Fill out the application form available on the Simplify CE website.
  2. Supporting Documents: Upload any necessary documents as needed.
  3. Essay Submission: Submit the short essay along with the application.
  4. Deadline: Applications must be submitted in a timely manner for the licensee to complete their education prior to their deadline. It is up to the licensee to ensure their applications are submitted at the proper time. Scholarship winners are notified by the 15th of each month, with the application process opening each calendar month. For example, submissions received by June 30th will be reviewed, and winners will be notified by July 15th. Scholarships must be used by the end of the following month (approximately 6 weeks), so please be sure to plan your application accordingly. Once scholarship credits are used, the courses will remain on the student account for six months. Recurring applications are permitted, though students are only eligible to win a scholarship once per renewal cycle.
